On Wednesday, March 29, 2023, the university hosted an event presenting the National Network of Family Friendly Municipalities, launched in 2017 by the Autonomous Province of Trento together with the Municipality of Alghero and the National Association of Large Families.
Speakers include the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti; the Minister for Family, Birth, and Equal Opportunities, Eugenia Maria Roccella; the Archbishop of Trento, Lauro Tisi; and the President of the Italian Bishops' Conference, Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi.
Rector Luis Navarro made the opening remarks.
The Network of Family Friendly Municipalities is the network of municipalities and organizations that, on the national level, aims to promote policies that support the well-being of families based on the Autonomous Province of Trento’s own experience with this sort of endeavor, which, to date, has certified more than 100 family-friendly municipalities within which more than 90% of the Trentino population lives.
