Activities
Since 2020, we have organized meetings where doctoral students in psychology and philosophy collaborate to deepen their understanding of various topics from multiple perspectives and methodologies.
Past Events
7 October 2020: We hosted the seminar Eudaimonic vs. Hedonic Well-being: Authors and Ideas in the Contemporary Debate for researchers and doctoral students in Psychology and Philosophy from the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Università Europea di Roma, and LUMSA.
28 February 2020: A workshop titled Considerations on B. Fredrickson’s Psychophysiological Perspective of Love was held at LUMSA (Rome) for doctoral students of Psychology (LUMSA) and Philosophy (PUSC).
21 March 2024: At LUMSA (Rome), during the International Conference Positive Emotions and Caring: Positive Psychology in Educational Contexts, Pía Valenzuela presented her book The Value of Emotions Based on Magda B. Arnold and Barbara L. Fredrickson’s Theories.
10 October 2024: The workshop Growth and Emotions: Mapping Human Flourishing through Char acter Research was held in collaboration with clinical psychologists and scholars from psychology, philosophy, and theology (Pontifical University of the Holy Cross, Rome). This workshop established a foundation for continued small-group research to refine the project's key research questions.
